I think it's safe to say that global warming is not just a fluke or a fictional story but it's actually happening. It's not a huge shock that we're witnessing climate change, at least it shouldn't be. Personally, I didn't think it would happen so soon but at this point, we can't ignore the facts!

Some may think that sustainability is just a trend but the reality is, we hit an era in humanity where we are depleting our natural resources. That's the reason sustainability is being talked about. Our planet can no longer produce a “free for all”, we must consider protecting our home.  Secondly, sustainability isn’t just benefiting “the world”; it’s also contributing to a better environment for the health and wellness of yourself and your family (think about your loving, cuddling pets too).

So I've put together 3 major sustainable tips that we can collectively implement that will ultimately impact our lives!

Well… LEDs are not limited to a certain temperature (warm or cool). {**If you need a quick lighting 101 - CLICK HERE **} You can either choose a soft light or daylight. LEDs have longer lifetime duration and use up to 80% less energy than your traditional light bulbs. Additionally, you have the luxury of dimmable options which works well for that candlelight dinner or that middle of the night bathroom trip.

LEDs are just energy efficient and offer you the best quality of light! It doesn’t get better than this!

Happy Monday friends!

I hope you're all enjoying labor Monday by sipping on some hot cocoa waiting for Autumn to arrive haha! I honestly cannot believe that summer is over. I felt like it flew by in a blink of an eye. I don't want to vent too much so to keep the mood on a good note, at least it's not winter yet! Before we leave summer officially behind, as promised, here are my top 3 favorite palm print interiors of 2017. ARE YOU READY!!!?

Oh, and if you missed the first part, check out my last post {In with the Palm Trend}.

First, we have the famous Leo's Oyster Bar in the Financial District of San Francisco. Not only they have an exotic/ tropical theme, they're also a very popular seafood restaurant bar with very high reviews on Trip Advisor and Yelp. This is definitely a place we should add to our itinerary to San Francisco.

Wow wow wow! It’s been a while since my last post, which felt like a decade since I last wrote. I took a break from blogging for a while to help rejuvenate and now I’m back and ready to share!!!!

So it seems that the palm prints are actually BACK and TRENDING! It's a trend from the late 1930's that keeps cycling back every few years. Here's a little history lesson, it all started with Dorothy Draper. She was one of the few that birthed interior decor. The first noted appearance of the leaf print was designed for the California Arrowhead Springs Hotel. After Draper's first success of the leaf print, Don Loper went on to challenge Draper and designed one of the most iconic wallpaper print - the Martinique (which you'll see below). Once again, the palm prints are everywhere!!! They're back in retail stores, shoe store such as ALDO, on phone cases, mugs, swimwear and the list goes on. I’m even quite sure that there are palm print undergarments :O I haven’t personally seen any but give me a shout out if you have!

I’ve gathered my favorite botanical prints of home décor that I’d love to share with you all!!!!

First, off we have the Bree Madden For Deny Tropics Duvet cover that can be purchased directly from Deny or from Urban Outfitters. I love this palm print in particular because of its sunset color palette. It makes me feel like I’m in the tropics… hahah they all do but this sends me away to a beachfront Jacuzzi suite on the white sands of Costa Rica.

Hey friends!!!! It's finally Thursday and the weekend is almost here!

Off topic question but I must ask, SERIOUSLY, Who cares about sustainability

Why should I care about sustainability?

I always felt that "sustainable people" were somewhat "aliens". I don't mean the reptile textured animal species that are from another planet (I actually just giggled because I thought of ET), I just mean like a foreigner. They're always parading around about recycling and "going GREEN". "Save our planet and GO GREEN". I'm sure you've heard it before and even meet one of those "sustainable people".

Even in my early years of studies in interior design, I didn't see the importance of sustainability in interior space. I wasn't fond of the idea of "reusing" materials. It seemed like a downgrade or simply a cheap project.

Don't get me wrong I DO recycle. I recycle EVERYWHERE I go but it isn't something I wanted to parade about or associate myself with until this past year.

HELLO 2017!!!

Let's give it up to 2016 and welcome 2017!!!!
